Oscar fish Oscars absolutely love worms they are a great source of nutrition and even better they are Yes you can feed earthworms to your oscar fish. Earthworms are very nutritious and they contain a good amount of protein so they are good for your oscar fish. Besides earthworms you can also feed other types of worms such as bloodworms mealworms waxworms etc. Can oscar eat chicken Worms or more specifically earthworms which are by far what most people mean when they use the term worms in the fishing scenario don t live in water.in fact the reason you see so many on the ground during heavy rains is because when stuck in soil that is too wet they can t breathe properly and must come up for air despite the extreme risks to their lives in doing so. Thanks for quick reply so you have no probs with parasites off the worms this must mean the parasites in my tank were coming from somewhere else i was brand new in fish at the time and have since been told that over feeding can cause these little worms. I have also heard you can feed them dried dog food. Here are some items i use to feed my fish.

Non-oily salt water fish beef heart a small percentage of pork liver if you mix it at a max of about 12.5 with other items shrimp squid shelled peas par boiled zuchini fully boiled carrots seaweed. I also add the following when available earthworms redworms crickets bettles baby mice. I put them in a damp container with air holes for a day the food in them passes through so they are cleaner. I wash them in a net i cut them up into bite size for the fish. The fish love them. I throw organic kitchen and garden scraps in a big flowerpot and the worms live off the food. Earthworms are pretty much my favorite fish food. Excellent source of nutrition and very easy to eat especially if you chop them up for smaller fish. I feed my puffers snd some bigger cichlids and natives on earthworms almost exclusively.

Carry on the same routine as much food as they can eat in about three minutes. Once the oscar reaches 10 or 11 inches then you could feasibly feed it just once a day. However most people would prefer to feed at least twice a day. If your fish leave any food floating on the water remove it before it starts breaking down.. I will feed my fish vegetables every 2-5 days. Be very careful not to overfeed do not keep vegetables in the tank for over 24 hours. For the meat portion of the diet i recommend frozen foods which can include any of the following bloodworms mosquito larvae daphnia tubifex worms black worms brine shrimp plankton and mysis shrimp.
