hi mate you seem to know abit about oscars. Sucker fish cpommon pleco I have found that not only are the amonia levels easier to control but my fish are much less stressed without a pleco in the tank.

I have one he is decent size ive had him for about 3 years give or take he is about 5 years old now the problem is he is not eating at all he consistantly floating on his side at the top and bottom of the tank he is in 6ft tank by himself but then he will have bursts of where he will race up and down the tank and crash into everything but still wont

Low water temperature can slow the digestive process which in turn can result in gastrointestinal tract enlargement that puts pressure on the swim bladder. Other abdominal organs may become enlarged and affect the swim bladder. Cysts in the kidneys fatty deposits in the liver or egg binding in female fish can result in sufficient enlargement to affect the swim bladder. The oscar could also be suffering a bladder problem. Dont worry this can be fixed easily simply take a frozen pea or a raw pea whatever works best for you and boil it then feed it to your oscar with some feeding tongs. I just got my first oscar a week ago but have owned fish my whole life my goldfish used to do this if they were dieing but they were more slow and lazy looking when they swam if your oscar is perky and active until he lays sideways he may just be very very stressed i would assume it is more likely just stress give him a little alone time and don t add anymore fish until he settles down The oscar is obviously stressed from the move and recovery if it happens will be slow. first make sure temperature and ph are suitable for oscars. Next check toxic nitrogen compounds ammonia and nitrite should always measure zero and nitrate should be below 40 ppm. Oscar fish are very messy and the levels can change very fast. I would check your water parameters and make sure that your ammonia is not high along with other parameters like nitrate and nitrite.
