I have an Oscar that i have had for some time and it is dying. Test the water of the fish tank frequently keep the ammonia and nitrate levels low and provide the fish with high-quality food. This is totally possible many fish like the Oscars have tiny pits all over their body.

Hello we have had a 4inch oscar fish for about 5 months sometimes he will lay on the bottom of the tank for half a day but this time he has been laying there for three days he has eaten a little but he is not himself at all. When we put our hand in he swims and look ok but soon goes to the bottom again. I had this same problem with my black moore. I had fed all of my fish pellets and my medium sized black moor ate to much to fast. The problem with feeding pellets is that when fish eat them before they expand in wate the pellets expaned in the fishes tummy I suggest taking him out of the take and putting him in his own tank. And i suggest putting him on a pea diet. Is my oscar fish dying I have bought an oscar fish from the shop yesterday only a little baby at the moment. When i got home the bag was floating in the tank with the oscar in it and he just kept lying on his side at the bottom of the bag. After we let him in the tank he went to the floor and keeps lying on his side.

About every half hour he My oscar fish is just staying on the bottom of the tank and not eating and it s color seems to be fading what could be - answered by a verified pet specialist I think my oscar fish is dying and i don t know what to do.
