Thread starter 1 zeebo active member. Hi she looks ok everyday and suddenly i notice she is swimming with her head down. May 29 2008 2 cobettacouple fishlore legend. Seems like i read somewhere that head down tail up was a sign of poor gill function. Also the swim bladder. Eddie i have a goldfish that started out headstanding. Little by little i noticed her his tail beginning to bend upward and the vent area looks like there is a tumor there. I have never put a fish down but probably should. Brand new site huh.
I hope sue or someone else wise has already moved across here. I have a rather unusual problem with a male dwarf gourami. Basically for the past 4-6 days he has been pointing head down or swimming in a tight convoluted circle only able to turn one way and never able to swim straight and level. Fish is swimming vertically My colombian tetra is swimming really weird head up tail down and can t stop swimming i don t think he slept at all this week and i tried dropping in a couple of peas to see if that would help he has been swimming like this for a week now. 2 of my neon tetras are swimming with their heads down. Its like their tails are getting buoyant making their end float upwards and they are always trying to dive downwards. Non of my cardinals black neons are doing that.
