Some of the smaller ones will leave them alone or even prefer a planted tank. Tank 75 gallons is the best minimum size for an oscar because of how large they grow and how messy they are. You can squeeze them into 50 but bigger is much better. Provide hiding spots for the young oscar. He won t need them for long but he ll appreciate them at first.
